A Holiday Must be Nice

The Daily Mail stated, “the New York lawmaker, who has been in Miami since well before the new year, seemed to be extending her holiday in the Sunshine State at a crowded gay bar event in the city.”

“While still being presented on stage by the MC of the ‘drag brunch’ party, Ocasio-Cortez could be seen pointing to other bargoers to screams and applause in short footage posted to social media.”

Florida’s Republican Voice was the first to break the story. “EXPOSED: AOC is STILL lazing it up in Florida, in huge groups and maskless,” the group’s leader, Brendon Leslie, wrote. “This night in Miami, at a Drag Queen bar. Rules apply to thee, but not to me.”

“To those you with no sense of humor,” Leslie said, “the entire idea of this essay is to highlight hypocrisy. We don’t mind if she doesn’t wear a mask. We are concerned she is a fear-monger about Florida; although she vacations here.”

On Friday, after being found out with her lover in Miami, Florida, Ocasio-Cortez slammed her detractors.

According to photos obtained by Weekly Standard, Ocasio-Cortez was “sitting inside Doraku Sushi and Izakaya on Palm Beach Thursday evening, lifting a cocktail in one hand and looking at her phone in another,” according to the site.

Ocasio-Cortez’s choice to visit the red state of Florida, despite a record number of coronavirus infections in the city she represents, comes after she chastised Sen. Ted Cruz for visiting Cancun, Mexico, last year while Texas was dealing with a storm disaster.

Is She Really this Mad?

“If Republicans are resentful that they don’t get to date me, they can just communicate that rather than putting their emotional neediness into my partner’s feet,” Ocasio-Cortez said in response to one of her detractors.

“You spooky weirdos,” said AOC.

“It’s getting old denying the very clear, bizarre, and insane sexual frustrations that underlay the Republican obsession with me, women, and LGBT+ people in general,” she added.

“These folks definitely need counseling, but they refuse to get it and instead use politics as an outlet. It’s a strange situation.”

“New York set a new single-day COVID case record for the second time in a row on Thursday, recording at least 74,207 new cases as the omicron spike strains hospitals even further,” according to NBC New York. “In the meantime, hospitalizations are on the rise.”

Ocasio-Cortez also chastised Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ team for tweeting about her.

“AOC, welcome to Florida! Thanks to @RonDeSantisFL’s efforts, we hope you’re getting a bit of freedom here in the Sunshine State.”
