Bidens Ranked Down at Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral with 14th-Row Seats

President Joe “Multiple Crisis” Biden and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, seemed as though they were ranked down at the funeral of British Queen Elizabeth II on Monday.

They were seated on the 14th row in Westminster Abbey, alongside the state leaders of Poland, Czechia, and Switzerland.

Behind Poland and Ahead of Czechia

The Bidens arrived for the Queen’s memorial at Westminster Abbey in the motorcade of the US president, unlike other world leaders who took the bus, The Daily Mail reported.

Sleepy Joe got an aisle seat right behind the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, and right in front of the Prime Minister of Czechia, Petr Fiala. His main caretaker, Jill, got seated next to him, with the President of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, on her left side.

The seating for the Queen’s funeral at Westminster Abbey in London was according to a “complicated plan,” based on the strict rules of the British royal protocol.

Apparently, under those, the President of the American Republic doesn’t rank very high.

Thus, the European royals and the King of Jordan were seated in the front rows. Even the Emperor and Empress of Japan didn’t make those, as they got to set on the sixth row, still eight rows ahead of the Bidens.

The memorial service for Queen Elizabeth II lasted for an hour.

Biden Did Get Special Treatment Compared to 100+ Other State Leaders

About 2,000 mourners attended the memorial for the Queen. The first couple of rows were occupied by King Charles III and the members of the British royal family.

The mourners began arriving three hours ahead of the memorial service, starting at 8 am local time. Hundreds of thousands lined the procession route for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, up to Windsor where she was buried.

Biden appears to have been the only foreign leader allowed to go to Westminster Abbey in his motorcade because others, such as France’s President Emmanuel Macron, came in a fleet of buses.

More than 100 state and government leaders from around the globe attended the ceremony. They were put on buses for their attendance at the funeral by the British authorities because of concerns over the congested traffic in London.

Earlier on Monday morning, the queen’s coffin was brought in a slow-moving gun carriage to Westminster Abbey from Westminster Hall of the British Parliament; it was laid in state for mourners for five days.

The same gun carriage has been used for royal funerals in London since the burial of Queen Victoria back in 1901. Back then, it was drawn by a total of 142 Royal Navy sailors.

Before the memorial service began at 11 am, the 1,000-year-old church bell tolled exactly 96 times, each one minute apart, for each of the 96 years in the queen’s life.

Queen Elizabeth, who passed away on September 8 in her Scottish Highland retreat, Balmoral, has become the longest reigning monarch in British history, and the third longest reigning in world history.
