Big Pharma does a lot of good in society, let’s be honest. They create many lifesaving drugs and medicines that keep us healthy and alive.
Big Pharma is also interested in profit; that’s their primary motive and anybody who forgets that is either naive or ignorant.
The high cost of insulin and basic lifesaving drugs is no mistake. It’s Big Pharma making a profit from people’s struggle to survive. The intentional overlooking of the dangers of the COVID vaccine? Also Big Pharma doing its best to pull the wool over people’s eyes.
Now, new information is coming out about just how strong of a stranglehold Big Pharma and their greedy executives have over the US Congress. You might want to sit down because this is very disturbing information.
Big Pharma Buying Off US Politicians
First, some facts: the US Senate has 100 members. The US House of Representatives (House) has 435 members.
Now, some more facts: recent data shows that Big Pharma, including Political Action Committees (PACs) supporting Amgen and Pfizer, donated over $14 million to 302 members of the House and 72 members of the Senate.
In other words, 69% of US reps are taking money from Big Pharma and 72% of US senators. That’s a lot of money flowing into the coffers of our nation’s most powerful politicians.
Can we really trust them to make healthcare regulatory decisions and legislation that puts the best interests of the American people ahead of profits and corporate shares?
Add in the numerous violations of The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act of 2012 and you have a recipe for disaster and conflicts of interest.

A Failure to Reform
Washington knows this is a problem and there have been past attempts at reform, but they’ve never really stuck.
Politicians would rather just take the money, including former President Trump, who gave a giant hug to Pfizer in return for rushing through unsafe and improperly tested vaccines.
The number one winner in the Big Pharma money grab was Congressman Richard Hudson of North Carolina, who raked in $139,500 on his latest campaign.
He’s heavily involved in decisions involving healthcare laws, so it’s no surprise that Hudson won the Big Pharma lottery.
Other top healthcare decision-makers including Anna Eshoo, Kurt Schrader, Chris Coons, and Robin Kelly also got showered with Big Pharma cash, as well as amnesty advocate Republican Thom Tillis of North Carolina.
If you look back through the records of many top recipients, you’ll also see a pattern of them legislating and lobbying on behalf of Big Pharma.

The Bottom Line
Corrupt Big Pharma executives have a stranglehold on the US Congress. This is not what our Founding Fathers envisioned when they started this nation.
It’s an abomination to our Constitution and way of life and it needs to be ended.
