The Republican governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, lashed out at President Joe Biden for his policy that requires schools to abide by federal LGBT safeguards or risk losing money for school lunches.
Strong Criticism From DeSantis
Despite Biden’s purposefully harmful policies like trying to deny school meals, DeSantis has pledged to stand by Florida’s decision to ban classroom training on sexual identity.
He made this pledge during his campaign for governor of Florida. “To be acting like that, he’s completely off his meds,” DeSantis said.
“We are now ready to be able to protect the taxpayers and the people who work hard in the state of Florida. I couldn’t be more pleased with us for achieving that.”

The Food and Nutrition Service announced that the American School Lunch Program for low-income students would not be made available to schools that do not embrace the Biden presidency’s viewpoint on Title IX.
This view holds a stipulation against gender harassment based on a person’s gender identity and sexual orientation.
Tom Vilsack, the Secretary of Agriculture, declared the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is dedicated to administering all of its programs with justice and fairness and supporting those in need.
Eliminating prejudice in any form, including based on a person’s gender identity or sexual orientation, is a crucial step in promoting these values; it should be viewed as such.
A Free State
According to the modern doctrine, all programs that receive FNS funds, including public schools, must update their initiatives to ban discrimination on the grounds of gender or sexuality and investigate any alleged violations.
This requirement applies to any program that receives FNS funds.
“What you’re seeing is really the Biden presidency saying, ‘You’re going to do what I like, or I’m going to take your kids’ lunch money,'” Fight for Schools Executive Director Ian Prior told Fox News.
“It is alarming and appalling that the federal government would step in and genuinely connect school nourishment and school lunch programs to this extremist philosophy.”

In addition, DeSantis made an appearance at the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam Festival in Panama City on Sunday night as music festivities for the weekend came to a close.
At the music festival, DeSantis addressed the audience, “This state is free because we’ve led and we’ve made the choices to keep it free.”
“That may change very fast with each of these races, so what I want to encourage all of you to do to preserve this state’s freedom is join our campaign this November.”
The Gulf Coast Jam, which took place in the United States the year prior, was the first big music event to be hosted in the country since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
DeSantis lauded the festival’s decision to proceed and boasted about his state’s determination to revert back to the norms that existed before the pandemic.
