On Friday, Alex Jones, the host of InfoWars, made a bankruptcy filing in Texas, noting debts that include the $1.5 billion award he was ordered to give families who sued him, due to the conspiracies he had about the massacre in Sandy Hook.
According to reports, the bankruptcy protection was filed by the InfoWars host in Houston, Texas. The filing included $1 billion to $10 billion in liabilities and $1 million to $10 million in assets.
Jones Acknowledged His Bankruptcy, Asked Viewers To Buy His Products
During his InfoWars broadcast, Jones acknowledged his bankruptcy, saying this will be proof that he is broke.
Jones, who markets/promotes dietary supplements and other items on his website and broadcasts, asked his viewers to purchase from his website in order to keep InfoWars on air.
Jones stated he is “officially out of money” and all of these will be filed and will be going to the public. Jones then said he almost has “no cash.” He added that he will not be commenting any further on the personal bankruptcy filings.
dude, your life is over. You are not allowed to file for bankruptcy besides you are not really bankrupt are you? you just owe money. Coward.

For years, the InfoWars host has been describing the massacre in 2012 as nothing but a hoax.
It can be remembered that back in October, the jury in Connecticut awarded the families of the victims $965 million in compensatory damages.
Later on, the judge added another $473 million as punitive damages. A Texas jury also awarded earlier this year $49 million in damages to the parents of a child killed in the massacre.
Meanwhile, the filing of bankruptcy by Jones halted temporarily all other court proceedings of the case in Connecticut.
For instance, a judge was forced to cancel a scheduled hearing last Friday at the request of the Sandy Hook families. This was done in order to guarantee the assets of the InfoWars host and his company in helping pay over $1.4 billion in damages that were awarded.
Families of Sandy Hooks: Cowardly Move for Alex Jones
On the other hand, an attorney for the families of the Sandy Hook case, Chris Mattei, criticized the filing of Jones, stating it was another “cowardly move” of his and that this bankruptcy proceeding will not work.
The lawyer added the bankruptcy system will not protect those who engage in any egregious and intentional attacks on others, the same as what Jones did.
He later said the judicial system will hold Jones accountable; the families of the Sandy Hooks massacre will never stop working to execute the verdict of the jury.

According to some testimonies of the relatives of the six adults and 20 children who were killed in the school shooting, for years, they were threatened and harassed by those who believed in the conspiracy theories Jones talk about on his show.
A parent told the court that conspiracy theorists urinated on his seven-year-old son’s grave and even threatened to dig up his son’s coffin. The daughter of the slain principal of Sandy Hook, also testified people have sent rape threats to her home. This article appeared in TheDailyBeat and has been published here with permission.
