On Tuesday, the FBI conveyed during the earlier four months, agents imprisoned over 6,000 accused violent criminals throughout the United States. Likewise, they recovered more than 2,700 weapons and significant amounts of fentanyl.
2,700 Weapons Recovered
In a video statement about the activity, FBI Director Christopher Wray said, “Violent crime is now on the minds of millions of Americans currently.”
This is a “top priority for law enforcement chiefs and sheriffs. They continue to note the growth in the number of guns and gang activity is one of their more critical and challenging problems.”
The FBI reported that federal agents and local law enforcement officers detained roughly 6,000 accused violent offenders and gang members.
The FBI has come under fire for targeting the one-time President Trump and his followers. More than 2,700 guns connected to criminal action were also retrieved.
This FBI activity has taken place in California, Texas, Hawaii, Illinois, New Mexico, Washington, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico.
Violent Gang Members Arrested
The FBI gave one illustration, saying a task force in Los Angeles that centers around violent gangs apprehended 28 members and affiliates of the Los Angeles-centered Eastside Playboys street gang for suspected federal conspiracy, guns, and drugs crimes.”
Nearly 47 weapons, nearly 200 kilos of methamphetamine, 27 kilograms of cocaine, over 13 kilograms of fentanyl, and more than seven kilograms of heroin were all seized by the task force.
The organization added its gang task force carried out 16 federal search warrants directed at street and prison gangs in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area.
The agency reported the officers “captured well over one million fentanyl tablets, 142 pounds of methamphetamine, 37 guns, hand grenades, bulletproof vests, and $1.8 million in cash.”

The homicide rate in the United States as a whole increased to 6.9 murders per 100,000 people in 2021.
Right now, that is the highest level in more than 20 years, As per federal data, drug-related deaths worldwide increased at the same time. They reached an all-time high of more than 107,000 in 2021.
Meanwhile, some detractors claim that Democratic-sponsored laws aimed at reforming bail have let serial offenders re-enter society.

In response to criticism that people charged with minor offenses were being kept in jail for lengthy periods of time ahead of having to go to trial (because they couldn’t afford bond), New York State amended its bail laws.
Law enforcement officials cautioned, however, that those who were allowed back into the community would likely commit fresh crimes.
Pressure on New Mexico Democratic Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has increased as a result of a record-breaking string of homicides in Albuquerque, including from some fellow Democrats.
The New Mexico governor supported activities to ban release ahead of trial for certain violent deeds. However, several lawmakers from her own party have opposed undoing measures that largely reversed people having to pay money for bail.
