HORRIFIC: High School Students Offered Scholarships for Porn

Several high schools are trying to encourage their learners to apply for a “bursary” by mailing their names, phone numbers, physicals, and email accounts to a doctor.

This doctor relinquished his license to practice medicine after being suspected of meeting young aspiring healthcare practitioners online and duping them into filming pornography that he sold or decided to post to shame them.

The Grim Details

Two college students have begun a lawsuit targeting Philip Sobash, a physician from Arkansas, alleging he is an alleged “serial sexual predator.

The allegations stated he persuades unsuspecting young women to submit naked photos to him; he then posts the pictures, along with his victims’ identities and other personally identifiable information, onto notorious web pages.

In doing this, he’s inciting others to secretly harass and attack his victims. He profits from the photographs by selling them. Though more than that, he delights in inflicting pain on his victims.”

According to health board meeting notes, the Arkansas Board of Health transmitted information on Sobash to the FBI on August 5. They incentivized the physician to utilize an escort at all moments when treating patients and directed him to appear before the panel in October.

As per board documents, during October 7, the board voted altogether to approve the surrender of Dr. Sobash’s Arkansas license to practice medicine, in lieu of continuing the investigation.

Sobash allegedly provided slim sums of money, such as $2,000, to his targets via Venmo around the time they sent images, according to the lawsuits.

Now, Sobash has established a scholarship program that invites high school and college students to approach him directly in the hopes of winning his “scholarship”: a $1,000 payment given to one pupil.

As per domain data, the scholarship site was established on July 2. The “application deadline for the award is December 16, 2021,” according to the website.

The “Dr. Philip Sobash Scholarship contest ends on January 16, 2022.” He wishes to “give back to America’s young health personnel,” according to the statement.

Sex Acts in Return for Scholarships

On June 30, a graduate student in her early twenties from Louisiana filed suit, alleging she contacted Sobash online and he asked her to send images of her participating in specified sexual acts.

She did so under the promise they would be kept private. According to the lawsuit, she later discovered the photos had been put online and he was indulging in “made-to-order” pornography for paying users.

“Dr. Sobash had been receiving requests for specific scenarios from his ‘clients.’ He would then act as the production company of these commercially produced pornographic images, which he would then distribute to his clients.”

“Jane Doe didn’t want to be a commercial porn actor and instead wanted to be a doctor, according to the report. “According to knowledge and belief, Dr. Sobash has a number of other victims, some of them are minors,” the report continued.

“Defendant portrayed himself as a law-abiding person who earned Jane Doe’s trust over time,” the statement added. “Defendant was the only person to whom Jane Doe already sent any of the images, so she approached him.”

Defendant said he had been hacked, however, this was a fabrication.” On July 22, the lady requested the judge to dismiss her case “with prejudice,” indicating she achieved an out-of-court settlement.
