John Brennan desperately tweets while the Russiagate noose tightens

Obama’s CIA director John Brennan is beginning to feel the heat from US Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the shady roots of the Russia-collusion case against President Trump. Brennan has been implicated in abuse of office and is up for an indictment. That hasn’t stopped the ex-spymaster, now stripped of his security clearance, from getting into a Twitter hissy fit with the president he, by all appearances, tried to undermine.

President Trump posted a tweet on April 17 that sharply criticized the Obama administration’s handling of the Swine Flu epidemic in 2009. Brennan took umbrage, and like a cornered animal, lashed out at the president on the social media platform, countering that the Obama-Biden team handled swine flu well.

Brennan appeared to be going to bat for the current Biden campaign, as Trump’s tweet likely little more than an off-hand contribution to his re-election campaign. With indictments looming for Brennan and other top CIA and FBI officials over the origins of Russiagate, getting a Democrat in the White House, however unlikely that is at this stage, could save their skins.

John Brennan Perjured himself when he gave testimony to Congress in May 2017. Brennan fallaciously claimed under oath that the Steele Dossier commissioned by the Hillary Clinton campaign was not a factor in initiating the Russiagate investigation.

Former FBI Director James Comey and his Deputy Director Andrew McCabe will also be sweating. Recently, Attorney General William Barr referred to the Russiagate investigation as ‘one of the greatest travesties in American history’ that was started ‘without basis.’

You may remember that the Michael Horowitz investigation found no evidence of political bias in the motivation to start Russiagate. The thing about that investigation is that it was based exclusively on Horowitz interviews with those involved. John Durham is digging deep into the paper trail, which tells a very different story.

Durham is a bonafide hard-boiled investigator that cut his teeth investigating the CIA’s use of ‘enhanced interrogation techniques and the destruction of evidence thereof.

AG Barr has vowed that solid evidence will be used to prosecute state officials who broke the law in this case.

Brennan can tweet all he likes but, the Biden campaign, the main hope to keep the Russiagate cabal out of jail, is appearing increasingly hopeless. Biden is showing signs of cognitive decline while Tara Reade’s emminently plausible accusation of sexual abuse swirls around him.
