Obama exposed in new scandal: gun running to Mexican drug cartels

A fresh scandal involving gun-running to Mexico has dragged Barack Obama and the top officials of his administration back into the spotlight. This comes days after new details in the Michael Flynn case show that Obama was at the center of a soft coup plot against his successor, President Trump.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopes Obrador has called for an investigation into the Obama-era operation known as ‘Fast and Furious.’ Under the scheme, guns were smuggled into Mexico ostensibly to track where they went and thereby track down major players in the drug cartels. President Obrador has emphasized that the scheme broke Mexican and international law, comparing it to an invasion.

Hundreds killed, including US Border Agent

Barack Obama and his administration’s Attorney General, Eric Holder have put out half-hearted denials of having any knowledge of the operation. Hundreds of Mexican civilians have been killed using the firearms in question. One of the smuggled guns was found in former drug kingpin El Chapo’s hideout.

Discussions among Mexican officials are ongoing in how to proceed, while information is being collected on who knew what when among both the US and Mexican officialdom. The scheme involved a trade of around 2000 firearms amounting to about $1.5 million. At least one US Border Patrol Agent, Brian Terry, was killed with one of the weapons involved.

President Obrador raised the issue concerning former Mexican Security Minister Genaro Garcia Luna, who is suspected to have shady ties to the Fast and Furious scheme. Garcia Luna was arrested in Texas last December on Federal drug trafficking charges.

President Obrador has suggested that certain officials at the CIA, FBI, and DEA should be investigated for ties to Garcia Luna. The scheme is reminiscent of the Mena cocaine smuggling operation that Bill and Hillary Clinton are suspected of having run out of the Mena Airfield in Arkansas.

Obama administration’s crimes come spilling out

Upon leaving office, Barack Obama bragged that his administration was the first in a while to be free from scandal. It appears that he spoke too soon. Various sources of evidence have emerged showing that Obama was at the heart of initiating the Russiagate debacle and the take-down of Mike Flynn to prevent the incoming Trump administration from discovering their predecessor’s crimes. Meanwhile, Obama is pressuring the National Archives not to release documents relating to Joe Biden’s dealings in Ukraine.
