Military veterans slammed Biden over his attempt to politicize the US military. On Thursday night, Biden delivered a hyper-partisan speech, while placing Marines personnel behind him.
The speech triggered massive backlash from political observers who believe the president should not attempt to use the military for personal gains. It will set a dangerous precedent in the United States.
Biden Trying Hard to Damage Military Reputation
Deputy Director of Concerned Veterans for America (CVA), John Byrnes, lashed out at Biden for placing Marines just behind him during his inflammatory speech.
In the presence of Marines, Biden kept on lashing out at Trump supporters, calling them a threat to the United States.
According to Byrnes, military personnel serves the country and not any specific political party. They take the oath of not getting involved in politics. That oath should not be breached at all, Byrnes added.
Likewise, the military veteran further asserted Biden’s attempt to involve the military in politics will undermine Americans’ trust in the noblest institute of the country.

Some government watchdogs even believe Biden forced Marines to violate the military code of conduct, which disallows them to participate in any political activity.
The director of a government watchdog, Protect the Public’s Trust, Mike Chamberlain, noted that the president is usually not prosecuted for the Hatch Act. However, military personnel is not allowed to participate in any political activity while in uniform under this act.
The Hatch Act was first enacted in 1939, which orders civil servants and military personnel to avoid political engagements during their official duties.
Chamberlain also added the Biden administration is exploiting Marines for political purposes, which can initiate the inquiry of official misconduct against the military personnel.
In addition to that, Chamberlain noted Biden accused his predecessors of violating American norms, while he is walking the same path himself.

White House Refused to Apology For Politicizing Military
Another government affairs insider, Kendra Arnold, who is the executive director of the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust, also blasted Biden while speaking on Fox News.
Arnold stated Biden should understand the difference between involving military personnel in official speeches and partisan speeches.
Furthermore, Arnold claimed that military personnel is employed to protect the freedom of America, instead of promoting any political ideology.
Meanwhile, the White House went into damage control mode as critics slammed Biden for politicizing the military.
As per the White House, Biden’s speech was not political in nature and the president was not campaigning for the midterm elections.
Likewise, the White House added the president invited Marines to demonstrate his respect for the military, which tries hard to protect democracy in the United States.
These claims of the White House came at a time when Biden repeatedly accused Trump of damaging American democracy in his speech and kept asking people to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.
