Pope BETRAYS Catholics — Shocking China Deal…

Pope Leo XIV stands accused of compromising Catholic doctrine through ongoing ties to China’s pro-abortion Communist regime, betraying the Church’s historic anti-communist legacy.

Vatican-China Deal Persists Under Leo XIV

The Vatican signed a 2018 provisional agreement with China’s Communist Party on bishop appointments, requiring CCP approval despite papal input. Pope Leo XIV, elected after Pope Francis’s death around 2023-2025, inherited this deal. Critics argue it compromises Church independence as CCP crackdowns target unregistered clergy. In February 2026, China’s Bishops’ Conference endorsed state worship limits, labeling bishops as “party tools.” This fuels accusations that Leo prioritizes diplomacy over doctrinal purity.

Critics Demand Vatican Action on CCP Ties

Nina Shea of the Hudson Institute called for Pope Leo XIV to summon Chinese bishops to Rome after the February 4, 2026, Bishops’ Conference statement. Shea’s February 11 critique highlights suppressed underground Catholics facing tighter controls. Cardinal Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State and deal architect, faces charges of being “morally and politically compromised.” Traditionalist outlets like the Lepanto Institute amplify claims of Leo’s meetings with Marxists, where he allegedly said, “I am with you.”

Historical Papal Condemnations Ignored

Pope Leo XIII’s 1878 encyclical Quod Apostolici Muneris denounced socialism and communism as “hideous monsters” that debase marriage, property rights, and incite sedition. Modern critics contrast this with Leo XIV’s policies, viewing the China deal as a betrayal. The CCP’s legacy of one-child policies and population controls underpins claims of pro-abortion alignment. Pro-life groups denounce such compromises, echoing U.S. campaigns against Catholic politicians supporting abortion.

April 2026 analysis tied Leo XIV’s Iran statements to China entanglements, showing no policy shift. Claims circulate in conservative Catholic media without Vatican rebuttal or mainstream verification.

Implications for Church and Conservative Values

These developments heighten rifts among traditionalist Catholics, risking schism if the deal unravels. Underground Chinese Catholics suffer suppression while U.S. conservatives express outrage over perceived erosion of anti-communism. The controversy weakens the Church’s stance against ideologies threatening family values, paralleling fights against abortion extremism. No escalation or bishop summons has occurred, leaving the accord intact amid U.S.-China tensions.
