Amidst the political turmoil and chaos that engulfed the Democratic Republic of Congo in the 1960s, there was a little-known, covert operation happening behind the scenes. The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States was secretly pulling the strings in an attempt to overthrow the Congolese government and install their own preferred leader.

The shocking details of this operation have recently come to light, shedding new light on the true extent of American involvement in the Congo. The Daily Mail has uncovered classified documents and testimonies from former CIA operatives, revealing a carefully planned and executed plot to orchestrate a coup in Kinshasa.

The operation, code-named "Dragon Rouge", began in 1964 and involved recruiting and training a group of Congolese exiles, who were led by a CIA agent disguised as a Belgian businessman. Under the guise of a humanitarian mission, these operatives entered the country and began their mission to overthrow the government of Patrice Lumumba.

Despite the initial success of the operation, things quickly took a turn for the worse when Lumumba's rival, Mobutu Sese Seko, seized power in a violent coup. This unexpected turn of events left the CIA operatives stranded and scrambling to save their mission from falling apart.

But their efforts were in vain as their cover was blown and they were forced to flee the country, leaving behind a trail of chaos and destruction. The CIA's involvement in the Congo coup was never officially acknowledged, and the true extent of their actions remained a secret for decades.

However, recent investigations have uncovered the role of several high-ranking American officials, including former President Lyndon B. Johnson, who personally approved the operation. This revelation has sparked outrage and raised questions about the ethics of America's foreign interventions.

The impact of this covert operation is still felt in the Congo today, with many arguing that it destabilized the country and contributed to years of political unrest and violence. The people of the Congo were left to suffer the consequences of a power struggle that they were never even aware of.

The declassified documents and testimonies have shed light on a dark chapter in American history, exposing the hidden agendas and questionable tactics of the CIA. It serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of political interference and the destructive consequences it can have on a nation.

As the world continues to grapple with the consequences of foreign interventions, the story of the Congo coup serves as a cautionary tale and a reminder to always question the actions and motives of those in positions of power. The truth may not always be easily accessible, but it is essential in understanding our past and shaping our future.

  1. The American people have largely lost faith and respect for their government, especially the DOJ, State Department, CIA and election integrity. Currently there is a tyrannical government that, God willing, will end in a few months. The people must be more involved and participative going forward or the Republic will be lost forever, unless it is already lost.

  2. The CIA has been anti American Constitution for many years and supported evil all over the world. Like the FBI has been recently too. Time to close both of them up and jail the evil doers.
